Overview:
HUMBLE TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR INC. located in Woodstock, ON, is seeking a Welder experienced in gas and arc welding. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule and permanent employment. The hourly wage for this role is $25.00. The welder will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes, operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, operating oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), operating hoisting and lifting equipment, operating previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, and maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Responsibilities:
Your tasks as a Welder, Gas and Arc, may include:

  • Operating manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes.
  • Operating manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
  • Operating oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC).
  • Operating hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Operating previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Maintaining and performing minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.

Experience and Specialization:
You should have the following experience and knowledge:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Type of Materials: Aluminum alloys, Stainless steel, Steel, iron, and heavy metals.
  • Welding Techniques: Resistance, spot or seam, Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Arc welding machine, Butt or seam resistance welding machine, Gas welding machine.
  • Area of Specialization: Custom fabrication, Auto repair, Structural construction.
