Overview:
Pets People Practice BC Inc. is seeking experienced Veterinarians to join their team in Prince Rupert, BC. This is a full-time position offering flexible working hours, including day, evening, night, weekend, and on-call shifts. Responsibilities:
As a Veterinarian with Pets People Practice BC Inc., your tasks will include:
- Diagnosing diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds, and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests.
- Hiring and training staff.
- Treating sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
- Vaccinating animals to prevent and treat diseases.
- Advising clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
- Performing routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
- Providing a range of veterinary services, including obstetrics, dentistry, and euthanasia.
- Being responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital, clinic, or mobile service to farms.
- Supervising animal health technologists and animal care workers.
Requirements:
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
Experience: While experience is an asset, Pets People Practice BC Inc. is willing to train the right candidates.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to diagnose and treat various animal conditions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
