Overview:
Shelby Logistics Inc. is seeking experienced Truck Drivers to join their team in Brampton, ON. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour (to be negotiated) and requires 30 to 45 hours of work per week. The successful candidates will drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials to various locations.
Responsibilities:
As a Truck Driver at Shelby Logistics Inc., your tasks may include:
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Performing brake adjustments and conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections.
- Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
Education:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Experience:
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Credentials:
- AZ class license (Commercial driver’s license).
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Experience and Specialization:
- Documentation knowledge, including bill of lading, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.
- Experience operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
- Transportation/travel experience, including local, long-haul, and short-haul trips.
