Overview:
8344795 CANADA INC is seeking a Truck Driver for their transportation operations in Kleinburg, ON. This position requires driving and operating straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials. The successful candidate will also address customers’ complaints or concerns and ensure professionalism in customer service.

Responsibilities (Tasks):

1. Possess mountain driving expertise to handle challenging driving conditions.
2. Address customers’ complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
3. Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques.
4. Arrange travel itineraries and make necessary reservations.
5. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy as required.
6. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks.
7. Load and unload goods from the truck.
8. Obtain special permits and other documents required for international cargo transport.
9. Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
10. Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
11. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
12. Perform preventive maintenance on the truck.
13. Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
14. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
15. Ensure safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.
16. Pay and receive payments for goods transported.

Credentials:

• AZ class license

Experience and Specialization:

• Willing to train candidates without prior experience.
• Documentation knowledge, including accident or incident reports, driver logbook, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trip reports.

Additional Information:

• Valid passport required.
• Basic security clearance and driver’s validity license check are necessary.
• Willingness to travel for extended periods and overnight when required.
• Attention to detail and physically demanding work environment.
