Overview:
2435385 Ontario Inc. is seeking a Software Technical Support Analyst to join their team in St. Catharines, ON. This is a full-time position with a salary of $30.00 per hour. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to computer users, troubleshooting problems, and offering solutions.
Responsibilities:
As a Software Technical Support Analyst, your tasks may include:
- Communicating electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
- Consulting user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
- Providing advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
- Collecting, organizing, and maintaining a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
- Participating in the redesign of applications and other software
- Supervising other technical support workers in this group
- Providing business systems, network, and internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
- Setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
Experience and Specialization:
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience in a similar technical support role. They should have knowledge of mapping and data visualization software, database software, data analysis software, and SharePoint.
Additional Information:
The work conditions include a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The successful candidate should pay attention to detail and be able to sit for extended periods.
