Job Description:

Imperial Inn is seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales and Promotions Coordinator to join our team in Medicine Hat, AB. As a Sales and Promotions Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include coordinating special publicity events and promotions, conducting public opinion and attitude surveys, and developing and implementing communication strategies and programs. You will also be involved in gathering and preparing communications material, maintaining contact with the media, and overseeing the preparation of reports, presentations, and press releases.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate special publicity events and promotions to enhance the hotel’s visibility and attract potential customers.
  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to gather insights for improving services and offerings.
  • Develop and organize workshops, meetings, ceremonies, and other events for publicity, fundraising, and information purposes.
  • Design and implement communication strategies and programs to promote the hotel’s services and offerings.
  • Gather and research information to prepare effective communications material.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with the media to foster positive relationships and coverage.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports, briefs, speeches, presentations, website content, and press releases.
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve sales and promotional goals.
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops, or symposia to showcase the hotel’s services.
  • Evaluate customer service and store environments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop marketing strategies to target specific customer segments.
  • Ensure all necessary business and commercial licenses are in place for hotel operations.
  • Conduct online marketing, e-commerce, and website promotions to reach a wider audience.
  • Maintain a database of potential franchisees, real estate locations, and online buy/sell internet sites.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in sales, promotions, or marketing.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for this role.
