Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
- Work setting: Department store, on-site customer service, rural area, liquor and wine store, and retail business.
Responsibilities:
As a Retail Salesperson, your tasks will include:
- Operating the cash register.
- Operating computerized inventory record-keeping and re-ordering systems.
- Assisting in the display of merchandise.
- Conducting sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce.
- Estimating or quoting prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Maintaining sales records for inventory control.
- Training staff.
- Performing data entry.
- Providing customer service.
- Advertising and/or promoting products, sales, or services.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- This role may involve bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Overtime may be required.
- The job may be physically demanding and involve repetitive tasks.
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
- The work may involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Weight handling may involve up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
