Job Overview:
Bismillah Enterprises Ltd. is seeking a Restaurant Manager to join their team in Chilliwack, BC. The Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, including planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities. They will ensure that operational procedures are implemented, health and safety regulations are followed, and budgets are analyzed and implemented. The Restaurant Manager will also recruit, train, and supervise staff, provide excellent customer service, and address any customer complaints or concerns.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Restaurant Manager’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily restaurant operations.
- Determining the type of services to be offered and implementing operational procedures.
- Monitoring revenues and making necessary modifications to procedures and prices.
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.
- Negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
- Negotiating with clients for catering or use of facilities.
- Developing, implementing, and analyzing budgets.
- Setting staff work schedules and monitoring staff performance.
- Addressing customer complaints or concerns and providing excellent customer service.
- Recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff.
Experience and Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- They should have at least 1 year of experience in a managerial role within the restaurant industry.
Personal Suitability:
- The Restaurant Manager should be accurate, client-focused, and dependable.
- They should possess excellent oral and written communication skills and be organized and reliable.
- The candidate should be flexible and able to work well in a team.
