Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, and control daily restaurant operations to maintain efficiency and high standards.
  • Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures accordingly.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms accurately.
  • Conduct performance reviews for staff members to ensure their growth and development.
  • Cost products and services to optimize profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring proper stock levels for smooth operations.
  • Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices when necessary to enhance business performance.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to prioritize the well-being of both customers and staff.
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies to secure the best deals.
  • Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to cater to their specific needs.
  • Develop, implement, and analyze budgets to effectively manage financial resources.
  • Participate in marketing plans and their implementation to attract and retain customers.
  • Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance to maintain a cohesive team.
  • Address customers’ complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Provide excellent customer service to enhance overall dining experiences.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff to create a skilled and efficient team.
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure food quality and service excellence.

Supervision:

  • 16-20 people

Experience and Specialization:

Computer and Technology Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in electronic cash registers, MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), MS Windows, and point of sale systems.
