Overview:
Florentina Foods Ltd. is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for their food processing facility in Orangeville, ON. This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of $28.00 per hour. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting in various quality control tasks and conducting chemical experiments to ensure the production of high-quality food products.
Responsibilities:
As a Quality Control Technician in the food processing industry, your tasks may include:
- Assisting in the setup and conduction of chemical experiments
- Compiling records for analytical studies
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and apparatus, and preparing solutions of gas and liquid, reagents, and sample formulations
- Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Utilizing MS Office for data management and reporting
- Assisting in the development and conducting of sampling and analysis
- Assisting in the development of standards and health and safety measures
- Contributing to the development of chemical engineering processes, studies of chemical engineering procurement, construction, inspection, and maintenance
- Compiling records and interpreting experimental or analytical results
- Conducting or assisting in air and water quality testing and assessments, environmental monitoring and protection activities, and compliance with standards
- Assisting in the design and fabrication of experimental apparatus
Experience and Qualifications:
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience
