Overview:
Maple Drywall Ltd. is currently seeking a Plumber to join their team in Edmonton, AB. This is a full-time position with permanent employment. The Plumber will be responsible for reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems. They will install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
- Work Setting: Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems in domestic, commercial, or industrial settings.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Credentials:
- Plumber Trade Certification.

- Work conditions and physical capabilities: The job is physically demanding and involves bending, crouching, and kneeling. Hand-eye coordination is essential for accurate work.
