Overview:
iLokol Technology is currently seeking a Network Security Administrator to join their team in Bedford, NS. This is a full-time position offering permanent employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and computer workstations. They will also be involved in evaluating and installing computer hardware and networking software.
Responsibilities:
As a Network Security Administrator at iLokol Technology, your tasks will include:
- Maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.
- Evaluating and installing computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
- Operating master consoles to monitor computer systems and networks, and coordinating access and use of computer networks.
- Providing problem-solving services to network users.
- Performing routine network start-up and close-down and maintaining control records.
- Performing data backups and disaster recovery operations.
- Identifying and communicating technical problems, processes, and solutions.
- Preparing reports, manuals, and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software.
Requirements:
Education: A college/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience in computer science, network and system administration, or computer technology/computer systems technology is required.
Experience: Candidates should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
