Overview:
Bains House is seeking a dedicated Nanny to join their household in Brampton, ON. This is a full-time permanent position with a weekly workload of 35 to 44 hours. The Nanny will be responsible for assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents, performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties, bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children, disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents, instructing children in personal hygiene and social development, keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding children, maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home, organizing activities such as games and outings for children, preparing and serving nutritious meals, supervising and caring for children, and tending to the emotional well-being of children.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Punjabi is considered an asset.

Education and Experience:
The candidate should possess a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience. Previous experience as a Nanny is an asset.

Credentials:
The candidate should have proficiency in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) proficiency test.

Work Setting:
The Nanny will work in the employer’s home, providing care for the children.

Security and Safety:
A reference will be required for this position.

Transportation/Travel Information:
The candidate should have their own transportation.

Weight Handling:
The Nanny may need to handle weights of up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) in the course of their duties.

Personal Suitability:
The ideal candidate should possess excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organization, and reliability.
