Job Description:
Royal Machine Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced Millwright to join our team in Brantford, ON. As a Millwright, you will be responsible for detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions, repairing or replacing defective machinery parts, fabricating parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up, and performing routine maintenance work on machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery.
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts.
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts.
- Assemble and install machinery and equipment.
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
Credentials:
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.
Experience and Specialization:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in millwright work.
- Experience with various equipment and machinery, including conveyor systems, lathes, power tools, press brakes, welding equipment, and more.
- Specialization in renovating and restoring, rigging and handling, troubleshooting, specialty welding, and stainless steel welding.
Additional Information:
Transportation/Travel Information:
- Willing to travel.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Work in various environments, including at heights, noisy, odours, confined spaces, and dusty conditions.
- Physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Own Tools/Equipment:
- Candidates must have their own tools, including steel-toed safety boots.
