Overview:

J and K Heating Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join their team in Edmonton, AB. The Mechanical Engineering Technologist will be responsible for designing tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures, estimating costs and materials, preparing and interpreting engineering design drawings and specifications, and performing tests on machines and equipment.

Responsibilities:

As a Mechanical Engineering Technologist at J and K Heating Ltd., your tasks will include:

  • Designing tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures for various projects.
  • Estimating costs and materials required for engineering projects.
  • Preparing and interpreting engineering design drawings and specifications.
  • Preparing contracts and tenders for engineering projects.
  • Developing and maintaining standards and schedules for projects.
  • Conducting tests on machines and equipment to ensure performance and safety.

Requirements:

Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience: Applicants should have 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant work experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist.

Work Setting: The work may involve various locations, depending on project requirements.

Personal Suitability: The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills (both oral and written), be client-focused, well-organized, and able to work under pressure with attention to detail.
