Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager include:
- Developing promotional materials
- Marketing business services
- Planning and controlling budget and expenditures
- Directing and evaluating establishments and departments that develop and implement communication strategies and information programs
- Directing and evaluating establishments and departments that maintain media relations on behalf of businesses, governments, and other organizations
- Directing and evaluating establishments and departments that publicize activities and events on behalf of businesses, governments, and other organizations
- Establishing distribution networks for products and services, initiating market research studies, and analyzing their findings
- Planning, directing, and evaluating the activities of firms and departments that develop and implement advertising campaigns to promote the sales of products and services
- Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the design, development, and maintenance of Internet and Intranet sites to manage an organization’s Internet presence
- Acting as a spokesperson for an organization
- Training and supervising staff
- Initiating and maintaining contact with the media
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies and programs
Experience and specialization in Marketing is required for this position.
