Overview:
MAJES TEA INC is seeking a skilled Manager to oversee their cafes with some additional duties as a Cafeteria Supervisor. Requirements:

  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
  • Budgetary Responsibility: $0 – $100,000.

Responsibilities:

As a Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations.
  • Determining the type of services to be offered and implementing operational procedures.
  • Balancing cash and completing balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Conducting performance reviews.
  • Costing products and services.
  • Organizing and maintaining inventory.
  • Monitoring revenues and modifying procedures and prices.
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are followed.
  • Negotiating arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
  • Negotiating with clients for catering or use of facilities.
  • Participating in marketing plans and implementation.
  • Setting staff work schedules and monitoring staff performance.
  • Addressing customers’ complaints or concerns.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
  • Recruiting, training, and supervising staff.

Supervision:

  • The Manager will supervise 5-10 people.

Credentials:

  • Food service manager certification.
  • Safe Food Handling certificate.
  • Food Safety Certificate.

Experience and Specialization:

  • The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of accounting software, electronic cash registers, MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, MS Word, and point of sale systems.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • The job may involve a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • The role may involve a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may require standing for extended periods.
