Overview:
Khera Transport Inc. is seeking experienced Long Haul Truck Drivers to join their team in Saskatoon, SK. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of $26.00 per hour and requires 40 to 60 hours of work per week. The successful candidates will operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials as part of a two-person team or convoy.
Responsibilities:
As a Long Haul Truck Driver at Khera Transport Inc., your tasks may include:
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
- Loading and unloading goods.
Requirements:
Education:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
Experience:
- Experience in truck driving is an asset.
Experience and Specialization:
- Type of trucking and equipment: Flatbed.
- Communication systems experience: Operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
- Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul.
Additional Information:
Security and Safety:
- Driving record check (abstract).
Transportation/Travel Information:
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to travel cross-border.
- Willing to travel for extended periods.
Weight Handling:
- Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
Own Tools/Equipment:
- Hard hat.
- Steel-toed safety boots.
- Tools.
