Overview:
Nikolas Transportation Ltd. is seeking Long Haul Truck Drivers for their transportation operations based in Calgary, AB. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations. The position requires a high level of professionalism in customer service and attention to detail.
Responsibilities (Tasks):
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances.
- Perform brake adjustments as required.
- Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and proper functioning of the vehicle.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch regarding routes, cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport, including tarping as needed.
Credentials:
- Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks)
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience:
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in long-haul truck driving.
