Job Overview:
Dom Amodeo Produce Ltd. is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to join their team in Etobicoke, ON. The supervisor will be responsible for overseeing operational logistics and coordinating activities within the organization.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Logistics Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishing work schedules and procedures for efficient logistics operations.
- Coordinating activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Preparing and submitting reports on logistics activities and performance.
- Resolving work-related problems that may arise during operations.
- Training workers in duties and policies to maintain high standards.
- Conducting performance reviews to evaluate and improve employee performance.
- Coordinating, assigning, and reviewing work to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
- Planning and organizing the operational logistics of the organization.
Supervision:
- Supervising a team of 3-4 people, including dispatchers and radio operators, shippers and receivers, and transportation route and crew schedulers.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Fast-paced environment with the need to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Handling heavy loads and attention to detail in logistics operations.
