Overview:
BC SAFARIS LTD. is seeking experienced Hunting Guides to join their team in Dease Lake, BC. This is a seasonal full-time position with a salary of $35.00 per hour. As a Hunting Guide, you will be responsible for escorting groups on outdoor sport and recreational trips, providing outdoor, wilderness, and wildlife instruction, assembling camping gear and supplies, operating and maintaining firearms, and advising on specific regulations such as hunting and fishing laws.
Responsibilities:
As a Hunting Guide, your tasks may include:
- Escorting groups on outdoor sport and recreational trips.
- Assembling camping gear and supplies.
- Operating and maintaining firearms.
- Advising on specific regulations such as hunting and fishing laws and boating regulations, following environmental guidelines, and preventing violations.
- Planning trips and setting up and taking down camps.
- Preparing meals for clients.
- Maintaining equipment and setting up emergency shelters.
- Addressing customers’ complaints or concerns.
- Assisting clients/guests with special needs.
Experience and Education:
To be eligible for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
Guide Specialization:
Trail riding (horseback).
