Overview:
First Choice Haircutters, a well-known hairstyling salon, is seeking Hairstylists to join their team in Fredericton, NB. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed minimum wage. The job offers health benefits, financial benefits, and long-term benefits.
Requirements:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience in hairstyling.
- Experience: Experience in hairstyling is an asset, but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Book appointments for clients.
- Cut and trim hair according to client’s instructions or preferences.
- Shampoo customers’ hair.
- Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
- Provide other hair treatments such as waving, straightening, tinting, and scalp conditioning massages.
- Analyze hair and scalp condition and provide basic treatment or advice on beauty care treatments for scalp and hair.
- Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair.
- Perform various hair styling techniques, including blow drying, iron waving/curling, permanents, and roller setting.
- Suggest suitable hair styles based on clients’ physical features and preferences.
Credentials:
- Hairstylist License required.
