Job Overview:
Flynn Canada Ltd. is currently hiring Glaziers for their commercial and industrial projects in various locations. The Glaziers will be responsible for installing glass, mirrors, and glass products, as well as working at heights and outdoors.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

The Glazier’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Determining the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project.
• Measuring, marking, and cutting glass to the required specifications.
• Positioning and securing glass panes in frames.
• Assembling and installing prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products.
• Installing door, window, and other hardware associated with glass installation.
• Instructing apprentices and assisting in their training.
• Preparing shop drawings for glass installation projects.
• Repairing glass doors and other glass structures as needed.
• Assembling, erecting, and dismantling scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment for working at heights.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications for glass installation projects.
• Working at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Operating glass cutting equipment, including computerized cutters and manual glass cutters.

Experience and Specialization:

• 3 years to less than 5 years of relevant experience as a Glazier.
• Proficiency in glass cutting equipment and techniques, including computerized cutters and manual glass cutting (straight cuts).

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Physically demanding work, involving handling heavy loads.
• Prolonged periods of standing, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
• Weight handling up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
