Responsibilities of the Cook include:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Planning menus, determining the size of food portions, estimating food requirements and costs, and monitoring and ordering supplies
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas
- Training staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Cleaning the kitchen and work areas
