Job Overview:
HUNG VAN HO is looking for a Construction Labourer to join their team in Bradford, ON. The Construction Labourer will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, including loading and unloading materials, mixing and spreading materials, and providing support to heavy equipment operators.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Construction Labourer’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials.
- Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials.
- Assisting heavy equipment operators.
- Aligning pipes during pipeline construction.
- Assisting in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
- Assisting in demolishing buildings.
- Cleaning and piling salvaged materials.
- Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
- Removing rubble and debris at construction sites.
- Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction.
- Directing traffic at or near construction sites.
- Cleaning and lubricating cranes.
Experience and Specialization:
- Experience in construction is an asset.
Equipment and Machinery Experience:
The candidate should have experience with the following equipment and machinery:
- Circular saws
- Concrete saws
- Grinding machine
- Jackhammers
- Nail guns
- Drills
- Chain saw
- Sandblasters
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- The work environment is outdoors and may be dangerous, dusty, and noisy.
- The job involves handling heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
- The candidate should have manual dexterity, work under pressure, and pay attention to detail.
Weight Handling:
The candidate should be able to handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of weight.
