Job Description:
CHAHAL DRYWALL (2008) LTD. is seeking Construction Helpers to join our team in Surrey, BC. As a Construction Helper, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with various tasks on construction sites. You will help in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades. Additionally, you may be involved in operating cranes and other machinery to lift, move, and place equipment and materials.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
- Participate in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
- Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
- Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into the earth for structural support.
- Operate cranes equipped with dredging attachments for dredging waterways and other areas.
- Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards.
- Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move, and place plant machinery and materials.
Requirements:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required; previous construction experience is an asset but not mandatory.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- The work involves repetitive tasks and is physically demanding.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to handle weights up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) are required.
