Overview:
PRIVATE HOME is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Caregiver to work in a private home located in Calgary, AB. This is a full-time position with flexible working hours, including day, evening, night shifts, and other flexible hours as needed. The start date for this position is to be determined. As a Child Caregiver, you will be responsible for providing care and supervision to infants and children in the employer’s home.
Responsibilities:
As the Child Caregiver, your tasks will include:
- Assuming full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
- Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children
- Disciplining children according to the methods requested by the parents
- Instructing children in personal hygiene and social development
- Keeping records of daily activities and health information regarding children
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organizing activities such as games and outings for children
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals
- Preparing infants and children for rest periods
- Sterilizing bottles, preparing formulas, and changing diapers for infants
- Supervising and caring for children
- Tending to the emotional well-being of children
Credentials:
You are required to have the following certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses:
- Emergency child care first aid and CPR
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
Experience and Specialization:
The target audience for this position is a multi-aged group of children, and you should have experience in supervising and caring for such a group.
Additional Information:
You will be required to undergo security and safety checks, including a Child Abuse Registry check, Child Welfare check, Criminal record check, and provide references.
Transportation/Travel Information:
You should have your own transportation, but public transportation is available in the area.
Personal Suitability:
The ideal candidate should be client-focused, organized, reliable, and have good time management skills.
