Job Overview:
Tara Vista Inn is looking for a Building Maintenance Worker to join their team in Hinton, AB. The worker will be responsible for various maintenance tasks within the hotel, ensuring the facility is well-maintained and safe.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Building Maintenance Worker’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing hallways, floors, and stairs.
- Operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
- Making adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contacting tradespersons for major repairs.
- Contacting contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
- Performing minor repairs on appliances.
- Performing safety and security checks.
- Moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Performing other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
- Watering and tending to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and fixtures.
- Working with minimal supervision to efficiently complete tasks.
- Cleaning snow and ice from walkways and parking areas as necessary.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Involves repetitive tasks and handling heavy loads.
- Physically demanding, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.

- Dependability and reliability in completing assigned tasks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to various maintenance needs.
- Good judgment in identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
