Job Overview:
ANS TRUCKING LTD is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team in Abbotsford, BC. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, maintaining financial records, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial statements and reports.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Bookkeeper’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Calculating and preparing cheques for payroll.
- Calculating fixed assets and depreciation.
- Keeping financial records and maintaining various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.
- Posting journal entries.
- Preparing other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
- Preparing the trial balance of books.
- Reconciling accounts.
Experience and Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate should have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- They should have at least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping.
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
- The Bookkeeper should have knowledge of accounting software, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.
Personal Suitability:
- The candidate should be accurate, organized, and reliable.
- They should possess good judgment and be a team player.
