Job Description:
YOU’RE NEXT! Inc. is looking for a skilled Baker to join our team in Waterloo, ON. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing dough for pies, bread, rolls, sweet goods, and batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or special customer orders. You will also be in charge of training staff in food preparation and handling, supervising baking personnel and kitchen staff, and ensuring that the quality of products meets established standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes according to recipes or customer orders
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Train staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
- Prepare special orders and oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
- Draw up production schedules and schedule staff
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Operate machinery
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience as a Baker is preferred
