Overview:
Gary’s Auto Sales Thunder Bay LTD is seeking an experienced Autobody Technician to join their team in Thunder Bay, ON. This is a part-time position with casual employment, offering health benefits. The Autobody Technician will be responsible for performing various tasks related to repairing and restoring auto body surfaces and components.
Responsibilities:
As an Autobody Technician, your tasks may include:
- Filing, grinding, and sanding body surfaces to be repaired.
- Masking and taping auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
- Hammering out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
- Removing damaged fenders, panels, and grills and installing replacement parts.
- Applying primers and repainting surfaces.
- Operating soldering equipment or using plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
Requirements:
Education:
- Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- 5 years or more of relevant experience in autobody repair.
Work Setting:
- In shop.
Work Conditions:
- Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, bending, crouching, and kneeling may be required.
Personal Suitability:
- The ideal candidate should be accurate, dependable, reliable, and a team player.
Transportation:
- Own transportation is required.
