Overview:
Quan Ngon Vietnamese Restaurant is seeking Assistant Chefs to join their team in Regina, SK. This is a full-time permanent position with a flexible work schedule, including day, evening, night, weekend, and morning shifts. The specific start date is to be determined. The successful candidates will be eligible for health benefits and other benefits.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Chef, your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
- Demonstrating new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff
- Supervising activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Instructing cooks in food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
- Preparing and cooking meals or specialty foods
- Preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Training staff in food preparation, cooking, and handling
Experience and Specialization:
- Previous experience in a similar role is an asset
- Knowledge of Vietnamese cuisine is considered an asset
