Overview:
Superfoods Farms, located in Leduc, AB, is seeking an experienced Agricultural Soil and Crop Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position with a flexible work schedule, including day, evening, night, weekend, shift, overtime, on-call, and early morning hours. The employment is expected to start as soon as September 1, 2023.

Responsibilities:

As an Agricultural Soil and Crop Specialist, your tasks may include but are not limited to:

  • Conducting research, analyzing agricultural data, and preparing research reports
  • Maintaining records of services provided and the effects of advice given
  • Preparing and conducting advisory information sessions and lectures for farmers and other groups
  • Providing counseling and advisory services to farmers on agricultural subjects

Credentials:
You should have membership in a provincial institute of agrology.

Experience and Specialization:
You should have experience in working with various types of crops, such as apples, asparagus, bell peppers, blueberries, cabbage, carrots, cucumbers, grapes, onions, raspberries, soybeans, strawberries, tomatoes, and more. Your area of work experience should include agribusiness, agricultural products processing, farm management, field crops, horticulture and/or gardening, land use, marketing, soil science, plant growth and development, and plant nutrition.
