Overview:
Pacific Flying Club is seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to join their team in Delta, BC. This is a full-time permanent position with a weekly workload of 40 hours. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for arranging and coordinating seminars, conferences, etc., determining and establishing office procedures and routines, scheduling and confirming appointments, answering telephone calls and relaying messages, answering electronic enquiries, compiling data, statistics, and other information, ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory, greeting people and directing them to contacts or service areas, opening and distributing regular and electronic incoming mail and other material, setting up and maintaining manual and computerized information filing systems, typing and proofreading correspondence, forms, and other documents, and planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations.

Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position.

Education and Experience:
A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required. The candidate should have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
As an Administrative Assistant, your main tasks will include:

  • Arranging and coordinating seminars, conferences, etc.
  • Determining and establishing office procedures and routines
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments
  • Answering telephone and relaying telephone calls and messages
  • Answering electronic enquiries
  • Compiling data, statistics, and other information
  • Ordering office supplies and maintaining inventory
  • Greeting people and directing them to contacts or service areas
  • Opening and distributing regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and coordinating the flow of information
  • Setting up and maintaining manual and computerized information filing systems
  • Typing and proofreading correspondence, forms, and other documents
  • Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily operations

Computer and Technology Knowledge:
The candidate should have knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and MS Word.

Area of Specialization:
The Administrative Assistant should have experience in handling correspondence, contracts, and invoices.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
The job requires working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. Attention to detail is essential.
