Overview:
Sruthi Trading & Investment Inc is seeking Retail Salespersons to join their team at Erik Nielsen International Airport in Whitehorse, YT. As a retail salesperson, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, operating the cash register, and assisting with displaying merchandise. The position offers full-time hours with flexible shifts, including day, evening, weekend, early morning, and morning shifts.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Previous retail sales experience of 7 months to less than 1 year is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the cash register to process customer purchases.
- Provide advice and information about merchandise to assist customers in making purchasing decisions.
- Assist in displaying merchandise to attract customer attention.
- Greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services they are seeking to purchase, rent, or lease.
- Maintain sales records for inventory control purposes.
- Prepare sales, rental, or leasing contracts and accept various forms of payment, including cash, cheque, credit card, or automatic debit.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
Additional Information:
- The position may involve working with various types of products, such as art, books, clothing, food products, jewelry, magazines, etc.
- A criminal record check is required.
- Transportation/travel information: Own transportation is preferred, and public transportation is available.
