Overview:
HELL CRUST, a restaurant located in Burnaby, BC, is currently hiring for the position of Pizza Cook. This is a full-time permanent position with a weekly workload of 40 hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, planning menus, determining food portions and estimating food requirements and costs, and monitoring and ordering supplies. Additionally, the Pizza Cook will inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in food preparation and handling, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and manage kitchen operations.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required for this position.
Education and Experience:
A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required. The candidate should have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in cooking. Experience in Italian cuisine is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
As a Pizza Cook, your main tasks will include:
- Preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Planning menus, determining food portions, estimating food requirements and costs, and monitoring and ordering supplies
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas
- Training staff in food preparation and handling
- Supervising kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Managing kitchen operations
