Job Requirements:

- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- On the road job: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Responsibilities:
- Professionalism in customer service
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Drive lighter, special-purpose trucks
- Load and unload goods
- Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
- Perform preventive maintenance
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods
Credentials:
- Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: AZ class license, Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
- Experience and specialization: Documentation knowledge (e.g., accident or incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection reports, etc.), Type of trucking and equipment (tractor-trailer)
