Overview:
Nightingale Restaurant, located in Vancouver, BC, is currently hiring Kitchen Helpers to join their team. This is a full-time position with flexible working hours, offering health benefits, financial benefits, and other additional benefits. No prior experience is required as training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
As a Kitchen Helper at Nightingale Restaurant, your tasks will include:
- Bringing clean dishes, flatware, and other items to serving areas and setting tables.
- Clearing and cleaning tables, trays, and chairs.
- Operating dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
- Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, appliances, and equipment.
- Replenishing condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
- Assisting with food preparation, such as heating and finishing simple food items.
- Stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
- Washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Handling various kitchen equipment and machinery, such as ovens, deep fryers, grills, etc.
- Packaging take-out food and serving customers at counters or buffet tables.
Requirements:
Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary as training will be provided.
Skills and Abilities:
- Efficient interpersonal skills and client focus.
- Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate reliability.
