Overview:
1288266 Alberta Ltd. is currently seeking Food Service Supervisors for their restaurant located in Edmonton, AB. This is a full-time, permanent position offering 35 to 40 hours per week. The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for various tasks, including establishing work schedules, supervising and coordinating the activities of staff involved in food preparation and portioning, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, estimating and ordering ingredients and supplies, ensuring food service and quality control, addressing customer complaints or concerns, maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and preparing and submitting reports.
Languages:
Fluency in English is required.
Education and Experience:
A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required. Candidates should have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
Work Environment:
The work environment may be noisy and hot, given the nature of the restaurant setting.
Work Schedule:
The position may involve various work schedules, including day shifts, weekends, overtime, on-call shifts, early morning shifts, and morning shifts.
Supervision:
The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising 5-10 people, including cooks (general), food and beverage servers, and kitchen and food service helpers.
Personal Suitability:
Candidates should possess client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, and the ability to work as part of a team.
