Overview:
Morning Glory Daycare & OSC in Edmonton, AB, is seeking Daycare Workers to join their team. The position involves caring for infants and toddlers by bathing, diapering, and feeding them. Daycare Workers will also assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. Engaging children in activities such as storytelling, songs, and crafts will be part of the role. Additionally, the Daycare Workers will maintain daycare equipment, help with housekeeping and cooking duties, and prepare snacks for the children.
Responsibilities (Tasks):
- Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers.
- Support early childhood educators in implementing developmental programs.
- Engage children in storytelling, songs, and crafts.
- Assist with record-keeping related to children’s progress and activities.
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s progress and challenges.
