Job Description:
Pokhriyal & Negi Foods Ltd. is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in Surrey, BC. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. You will also plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, monitor and order supplies, inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in food preparation and handling, and manage kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs.
- Monitor and order supplies and equipment.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience as a cook.
