Overview:
Sam Po Dim Sum Restaurant is currently seeking two Cooks to join their team in Winnipeg, MB. This is a full-time position with a salary of $15.50 per hour and 35 hours of work per week. The selected candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as planning menus, estimating food requirements, and monitoring supplies.
Responsibilities:
As a Cook, your tasks may include:
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitians or chefs
- Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure sanitation and cleanliness
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain hygiene and safety standards
