Overview:
697230 NB Inc. is currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join their team as Hotel Front Desk Clerks in Caraquet, NB. This is a full-time position with a negotiable hourly wage. The position offers day, evening, night, weekend, early morning, and morning shifts.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
- Process group arrivals and departures.
- Take, cancel, and change room reservations.
- Provide information on hotel facilities and services.
- Offer general information about points of interest in the area.
- Investigate and resolve guest complaints and claims.
- Exchange foreign currency if required.
- Process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
- Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
- Follow emergency and safety procedures.
- Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
- Answer telephone calls and relay messages.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs.
- Handle wake-up calls.
- Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Provide excellent customer service.
Experience and Specialization:
- Computer and technology knowledge in word processing software, computerized bookkeeping system, central reservation system (CRS), spreadsheet, and internet is essential.
