Overview:
Paramount Lebanese Kitchen – Brookfield is currently seeking two experienced Chefs to join their team in Toronto, ON. This is a full-time position with permanent employment. As a Chef, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen operations, preparing and cooking meals, training staff, and maintaining inventory.
Responsibilities:
Your tasks as a Chef may include:
- Analyzing operating costs and other data
- Demonstrating new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
- Supervising activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers
- Supervising cooks and other kitchen staff
- Preparing and cooking meals or specialty foods
- Requisitioning food and kitchen supplies
- Arranging equipment purchases and repairs
- Preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Ordering supplies and equipment
- Managing kitchen operations
- Inspecting kitchens and food service areas
- Cleaning kitchen and work areas
- Maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Planning menus, determining size of food portions, estimating food requirements and costs, and monitoring and ordering supplies
Experience and Specialization:
Cuisine Specialties: Mediterranean cuisine
Experience: Experience in the culinary field is considered an asset.
Supervision: This position involves supervising 3-4 people.
