Overview:
697230 NB Inc. is currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join their team as Hotel Front Desk Clerks in Caraquet, NB. This is a full-time position with a negotiable hourly wage. The position offers day, evening, night, weekend, early morning, and morning shifts.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms.
  • Process group arrivals and departures.
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations.
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Offer general information about points of interest in the area.
  • Investigate and resolve guest complaints and claims.
  • Exchange foreign currency if required.
  • Process guests’ departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures.
  • Perform clerical duties such as faxing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages.
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs.
  • Handle wake-up calls.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Experience and Specialization:

  • Computer and technology knowledge in word processing software, computerized bookkeeping system, central reservation system (CRS), spreadsheet, and internet is essential.

  • Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation is necessary.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail and overtime may be required.
