Overview:
11051539 Canada Inc. is currently seeking a Truck Driver for their transportation operations in Mississauga, ON. This is an on-the-road job that requires frequent or constant travel. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and operating straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Responsibilities (Tasks):

1. Possess mountain driving expertise to handle challenging driving conditions.
2. Arrange travel itineraries and make necessary reservations.
3. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks as required.
4. Load and unload goods from the truck.
5. Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
6. Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
7. Perform preventive maintenance on the truck.
8. Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
9. Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
10. Ensure safety and security of cargo, including tarping and handling dangerous goods.

Credentials:

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• DZ class license

Experience and Specialization:

• At least 3 years to less than 5 years of truck driving experience.
• Familiarity with operating straight or articulated trucks.
• Experience with communication systems such as CB radio, GPS, and trip recorder.

Transportation/Travel Experience:

• Long-haul, National, Provincial/Territorial, and Regional trucking.

Additional Information:

• Valid passport required.
• Criminal record check and driver’s validity license check are necessary.
• Willingness to travel cross-border and stay overnight when required.
• Overtime may be required due to large workloads.
• Attention to detail and physically demanding work environment.
