Job Description:
Pharmasave Fort William Medical Pharmacy Inc. is currently seeking Pharmacy Technical Assistants to join our team in Thunder Bay, ON. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting health care professionals, preparing medications for clients, and maintaining medication inventories and prescription records.
Responsibilities:
- Bill third party insurers for prescriptions.
- Compound oral solutions, ointments, and creams.
- Ensure the accuracy of information on prescriptions, enter client information in databases, and prepare medications for clients.
- Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
- Assist health care professionals with pharmacy-related tasks.
Requirements:
- College/CEGEP education in a related field.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of relevant experience.
Skills and Personal Suitability:
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Standing for extended periods may be required.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Client-focused, dependable, organized, and a team player.
