Overview:
Dental Crafts Ltd. is seeking Dental Laboratory Technicians for their location in Mount Pearl, NL. This is a full-time position offering 40 hours per week with a salary ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour (negotiable). As a Dental Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing plaster models and moulds, casting gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases, designing, fabricating, and repairing dental devices.
Requirements:
- Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
- Language: English
Responsibilities:
As a Dental Laboratory Technician at Dental Crafts Ltd., your tasks will include:
- Preparing plaster models and moulds
- Casting gold or metal alloys for bridges and denture bases
- Designing, fabricating, or repairing dental devices
- Moulding wax over dentures set-up
- Finishing metal framework of dentures
- Preparing wax bite-blocks and impression trays
- Packing plastic material in moulds to form full or partial dentures
- Making orthodontic bands from metal and alloys
- Polishing and buffing dentures
Experience and Specialization:
The ideal candidate should have technical expertise in the following dental areas:
- Plastering
- Packing
- Waxing-up
- Casting
- Polishing
- Assembly
Area of specialization includes Full dentures, Partial dentures, Orthodontic appliances, Crowns and bridges, Ceramic or porcelain application, Gold dies and goldwork, and Chrome castings.
Work Conditions:

- The role involves repetitive tasks and physical demands, including manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to distinguish between colors is required.
