Job Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
  • On the road job: Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.
  • Work Setting: Willing to relocate

Responsibilities:

  • Professionalism in customer service
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
  • Drive lighter, special-purpose trucks
  • Load and unload goods
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
  • Transport and handle dangerous goods

Credentials:

  • Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses: AZ class license, Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Experience and specialization: Documentation knowledge (e.g., accident or incident reports, bill of lading, dangerous goods occurrence reports, driver logbook, inspection reports, etc.), Type of trucking and equipment (tractor-trailer)
