Alta Cardiac Care is seeking a Medical Administrative Assistant for their clinic in Thornhill, ON. The assistant will be responsible for various administrative tasks, including patient interviews, appointment scheduling, and maintaining medical records.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
The Medical Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Interviewing patients to obtain case histories and relevant medical information.
- Scheduling and confirming appointments for medical services.
- Completing insurance and other claim forms as required.
- Maintaining the clinic’s filing system to organize records efficiently.
- Performing general clerical work, such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
- Arranging travel, related itineraries, and making reservations when necessary.
- Determining and establishing office procedures and routines to ensure efficient operations.
- Entering and formatting electronically based medical reports and correspondence, and preparing spreadsheets and documents for review.
- Initiating and maintaining confidential medical files and records.
- Preparing draft agendas for meetings and taking, transcribing, and distributing meeting minutes.
- Supervising and training other staff in procedures and the use of current software.
